Norma Guitars, made from 1957 to 1970 by
Tomono in Japan, were distributed by Sprum
& Drum in the USA.
This Norma Guitar was styled after the Burns
"Baby Bison". The guitar has a LOUD vintage
"Bell-Like" Sound... with a Very Dark almost
"EERIE" chime-like overtone.
The Norma has 4, very unique, split-single coil
pick-ups. The first thing you notice about the little
split coils... they are much LOUDER and beefier
than other Japanese pick-ups of this time period.
It also features a master tone knob, a master volume, 3-way
pick-up selector with a "Solo-Rhythm" switch and a
low, medium and high rotary toggle.
There is major Japanese pride in the construction of this guitar. This "Custom" Norma is one-stop shopping for that unique 60's blend of Rock 'N Roll and Rhythm & Blues. But the real truth is... this Norma Guitars KICKS-SOME-MAJOR-ASS in the "SOUND" department.
