The Teisco/Kawai SS-4L Orbit 4 was manufactured in 1967. This Japanese-Kawai-built "Apollo" STRAT, is rarer than its Teisco branded predecessor.
The "Apollo" is loaded with 4 "Gold Foil" Ry Cooder style mini-humbuckers with individual on/off slider switches. These pick-ups are unusually clear and crisp for how much output it has. It also features pearloid dot inlays, a smooth Bigsby style vibrato and a very fast neck.
One of the cleanest guitar tones I've heard in a while... perfect for recording.
